Honey Rose aka Dhwani Nambiar knows to draw the line between “Trivandrum Lodge” and “Hotel California”. The actress said that both movies hold distinct thematic representations and resemblance occurs as far as actors are considered. The actress anyhow unveils that she is unaware of the other characters. But, she is in full confidence as far as the movie and her character is concerned.
Honey had a total image makeover through the much controversial “Trivandrum Lodge”. Though, some sharp criticisms araised from various corners, movie proved to be a turning point for the career of her.
Malayalam actress Parvathy Nair, who debuted through the movie “Yakshi, Faithfully yours” is thrilled with the kind of roles that she is receiving. In her second movie, “Nee Ko Njacha”, she doesn’t wore those traditional looks but was presented in an ultra modern girl looks. In an upcoming bilingual movie, “Pravasi” in Malayalam and “PC” in Tamil respectively, she will essay the role of a more matured lady.
“Though a college girl, mine is not a typical romcom one, but rather has a more in depth character”, the excited Parvathy told in an interview.
The successful team of Jayasurya – Saji Surendran combo is once again joining through another movie. Like earlier attempts, this one too is said to be full swing with comedy. Saji Surendra revealed that story will be of different characters meeting in different situations. Not at all including anything that makes it alien to family viewers, he aims to make a clean chit one.
Krishna Poojappura will be the script writer and this would make the 6th straight movie form the team without dropping anyone from it. Movie is expected to start rolling by the month of April

The news of Bengali sensation actress Rithuparna Sen acting in Malayalam is a known news to all. It is through the Sohanlal movie “Kadhaveedu” that she is debuting in M-Town. The movie stars an ensemble cast that includes Kunchakko Boban, Biju Menon, Kavya Madhavan, Mythili, and Sarayu, and of course Lal with whom the acclaimed actress is pairing with.

Badri of the “Cinema Company” fame will be the hero and is doing the role of doctor in the movie. Shajiyem is the director and the shooting of the movie is progressing in Kochi. The director has taken his inspiration for the movie from a Chinese movie that he has seen before some 12 years.
After making a strong comeback through the movie “Lisammayude Veedu”, it is expected that this movie will add another feather to Meera Jasmine.
Mammootty and Ranjith to drag Leela further
The high profile movie “Leela” would have to wait further to kick start. The Mammootty starring movie which is going to be directed by Ranjith is stated to be in a position where no sure shot date to start shooting can be announced. Both Mammootty and Ranjith are said to be busy with their own projects, while Ranjith is polishing the scripts of Leela. Earlier the makers said `that “Leela” was about to start by the month of April, this year.
Based on the novel of R.Unni with the same title, movie “Leela” topped the headlines earlier regarding change of the female lead actress.
Director Parthan Mohan is about to start a movie that would be a never seen before experience for the Malayalam movie goers according to him. Based on some real life incidents that happened in Scotland, movie titled as “One” is about an adventurous trip undertaken by some college students. Soumya, the assistant director turned actress will play the central character in the movie. It would be the second outing of the actress after her debut movie “David and Goliath”.
Popular television anchor and actress Ranjini Haridas said in an interview that she is a feminist in real life. In the upcoming movie by Shyam, “Otta Oruthiyum Shariyalla” Ranjini plays one of the central characters named Kayal. “The character of Kayal is that she is a feminist and highlights women empowerment”, she added. In her debut movie “Entry” too she was seen playing a bold character.
Malayalam actor Meera Nandan got injured during the shooting of a Kannada movie and was hospitalized immediately with a dislocated left arm. According to the actress, incident occurred during a song sequence, and was fell down. Though, she got her first aid from a hospital in Mysore, where the shooting was undergoing, she suggested of going back to Kochi. And with a minor surgery, the dislocated arm was fixed. Since the doctors prescribed a three week rest, the actress doubted the completion of her pending works soon.
With “Mumbai Police”, and “Kattum Mazhayum” expected to start soon, it is a matter of doubt that Meera Nandan doing those works.

Priyamani (Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer) has appeared in several Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada films. Balram Mattanur, the scriptwriter of celebrated films like Kaliyattam and Karmayaogi will shortly turn an independent director. His first film titled 'Ramanam' will be based on the life and works of famous poet Changampuzha. The movie will tell his life through the eyes of eleven heroines who has bestowed very different attitudes to the most famous romantic poet of Kerala.
The movie will be produced by a cooperative movement named 'Samastha Malayalaee Chalachithra Parishad' which will spend around 1.8 cores for the movie. 'Ramanam', which will be around 120 minutes, will have all its songs based on the poems by Changampuzha.

“Not aimed at degrading anyone”, Kamal
“Celluloid” has already whitewashed the recently declared State award show. But, lately controversies are starting to pick up around the movie. Though, it is not based on the awards it had won. The controversy is due to the possible degradation of the late Karunakaran, former chief minister of the state. According to his son, K.Muraleedharan, movie was shown his father under bad light. Also, he questioned the way writer Malayattoor Ramakrishnan was shown.
But, director Kamal has denied any such instance of showing these two well known personalities. He also added that, movie is based on the novel written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan which is a well known fact. “Though, the book referred the name of Karunakaran or fondly called leader, movie doesn’t went on to highlight those matters”, he added.
Another new age movie in Malayalam – “Ente Classile Aa Penkutty”
Another flick from youngsters is getting ready in Malayalam with an interesting title, “Ente Classile Aa Penkutty”. Movie by Gireesh Payyannur tells the story of the life of some college students which starts on a Valentine’s Day and eventually ends on another one. The switch on of the movie was held back in the Valentine’s Day, last week. With one male hero and as much as four heroines, Payyannurr College will once again become a backdrop for a love story after “Thattathin Marayathu”.
Scripted by Gireesh himself, “Ente Classile Aa Penkutty” will join Paul and Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma once again after the highly successful “Classmates”.
'Chappakurisu' which was inspired from the Korean movie 'Handphone, was an instant hit and helped in the launch of Fahad Fazil and its director Sameer Thahir to the big league.
'Chappa Kurisu'- One of the first movies that started the flow of new generation movies in Malayalam is likely to have a Tamil version soon. Radaan Media owned by Radhika Sharath Kumar has shown a big interest in the movie's remake

Plot
Anoop (fahad) belongs to Wayanad. He gives great importance to drama and gets himself involved in many social issues as a committed and responsible person. Ramesh (asif) is from Calicut. He is a sales executive in a company and is least bothered about others.Anoop and Ramesh are two guys who lead their life at varied locations and backgrounds .Though they are unknown to each other they have some connection between them which they are not aware of.
Ratheesh comes to make an investigation into this connection and various truths get unveiled in the process.'Red Wine' progresses with a good element of suspense with Mohanlal as Ratheesh. Fahad Fazil and Asif Ali do the roles of Anoop and Ramesh respectively. Anoop and Ramesh are strangers and have nothing in common. They share different principles and beliefs. But at a particular turn of events, both come together for a common purpose and it is Ratheesh who was instrumental in their encounter. The following eventful incidents are plotted in 'Red Wine'. Salam Bappu is the director of this film written by Mammen K Rajan. Bijibal composes music and Manoj Pillai handles the camera. In the banner of Gauri Meenakshi movies, the movie is produced by A S Girish lal. Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, T G Ravi, Anoop Chandran, Jaikrishnan are among the cast and Meghana Raj is also doing an important role.
